Sport
Our sporting program promotes and models how students can lead a healthy and active lifestyle, which can ideally be maintained throughout their life time. Being active and involved in sport contributes to the holistic wellbeing and development of the individual. Through participation in organised sport students experience structured skill development, acquire knowledge of a range of sports and activities and enhance their appreciation of team work, training and commitment.
Teams are actively coached and supported by staff members with relevant interests and skills, as well as additional input from students eager to participate in the development of players at this level.
Mercy College teams are currently in the SCSA, (Secondary Colleges Sport Association), intra and interschool events, and regional competitions, in a diverse range of sports, including: Australian Rules football, Badminton, Basketball, Cross Country Running, Hockey, Indoor Cricket, Indoor Soccer, Orienteering, Netball, Soccer, Super 8's Cricket, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.
