Mercy parents

Mercy ParentsMercy College actively encourages the involvement of Parents in the life of the College. This is achieved in the following ways:

1) The College Board. Parents from the local parishes are invited to become members of the College Board which meets regularly throughout the year. In this forum, which advises the Principal, parents make significant contributions to the refining of policies and procedures of the College.

2) The Parents as Reading Partners Program (PARP) has several parents assisting students to read with improved comprehension and enjoyment.

3) Mercy Parents are welcome to attend the Thursday Eucharists celebrated at lunchtime during each term in the College Chapel.

4) Supervision Opportunities : Parents assist with the supervision of various student social evenings across all levels and attend elements of the Year 9 Footsteps program.

5) Parents also assist in the College canteen in the preparation of student lunches or serving at recess and/or lunchtime.
